The cohort walks your new teachers through a proven curriculum in their first year in the classroom. Each month, they receive a pre-recorded session led by experienced educators, Trevor Muir and Dr. John Spencer to learn innovative strategies for thriving in the classroom.
Each session is recorded and available on-demand, and includes an additional instructional video, out-of-the-box resource, discussion guide for mentor conversations, and access to the NTA online community.

Trevor Muir and Dr. John Spencer are popular keynote speakers and workshop presenters with a unique pulse on education. Through their interactions with thousands of educators at events around the world, and millions more on social media, they've identified an all-too-common trend: new teacher training drops off after college.
The result of this is too many teachers who are ill-prepared for the rewarding, but challenging career in education. This is why Muir and Spencer developed the New Teacher Academy, to provide every new teacher with affordable, ongoing access to fundamental training in their first years in the classroom.
Trevor and John bring the energy and expertise from their own classrooms, keynotes, and workshops to the cohort training. While teachers can access all sessions asynchronously after they air each month, in the live meetings they can interact with Trevor and John as well as other new teachers from across the country.

Live Workshops
Trevor Muir and Dr. John Spencer offer fun, engaging, and learning-intensive live workshops. For new teachers and those looking for a fresh approach to teaching, the hands-on trainings get teachers confident and excited to lead the classroom.
New teachers are led through an intensive learning experience where they will learn and engage with the most pertinent topics in teaching. They will use the design thinking process to develop an authentic learning unit, discover strategies to lead classroom collaboration, learn instructional best practices, and much more.
All NTA workshops are designed to be co-led, but can also be delivered by either Trevor or John independently based on availability and budget.
